Mission & Vision

Mission

The mission of the Directorate of Quality Assurance include (i) Developing and implementing policies and procedures for students’ assessments and examinations; (ii) Monitoring of students’ progress (pass rates, dropout rates) and labour market perceptions of graduates and academic programmes of the university; (iii) Synthesis of topical Quality Assurance matters in higher education arising from debates and practices in the regional and global contexts and updating the University community and management accordingly (iv) Creation of awareness of the provisions for Quality Assurance, reviewing the existing procedures and making them known to the stakeholders.

Vision

The vision of the directorate include (i) Promoting sustenance of the quality culture in the institution; (ii) Establishment of confidence in stakeholders that the inputs, processes and outputs of educational system fulfill the expectations or measure up to minimum standards; (iii) Putting in place a range of procedures designed to safeguard academic standards and which will promote learning opportunities of acceptable quality.
